Marilyn MacDonald (1957 – 2018) was born in Marshfield PEI and graduated from the PEI School of Nursing in 1979.  Married to Leo, they raised three children; Leanne, Craig and Rory.  She was smart, had values that were strong and based on goodness and love, and had a memory like no other.  She was a wonderful sister, daughter, aunt, mother, grandmother and life partner to Leo. This award was established by Leo as a tribute to the incredible life she lived – professionally and personally. The University is honoured to grant this award each year to a student in the UPEI Nursing Program who has shown exceptional mentorship and leadership skills, and has demonstrated a dedication to compassionate care – attributes all shared with Marilyn.
